Back Pain Online Consultation

Telehealth consultation works effectively for back pain-related disc issues, arthritis, post-viral infection (post-COVID) recovery, geriatric preventive care, injury management, and physical assessment before starting yoga, gym, or any other exercise routine.
The consultation is conducted through any available video call platform, after booking an appointment. Based on the patient's convenience we can be available on Zoom, Whats App or Google Meet for the booked time slot.
We have more than a decade of experience in online physiotherapy. Our patients have stayed in touch with us even when they moved to other cities and countries.
Physical exercise is the most important aspect of Physiotherapy, everything else is secondary to movement. Best Physiotherapy treatment includes the active involvement of the patient. We will help you with proper activity planning.
In most cases, online physiotherapy treatment works for pain relief and management. If a specific case needs referral beyond online, that can be determined through assessment and case analysis.
Bangalore-based Physio Dr. Shailendra Kumar Saxena (P.T) with 16+ years of experience will guide you with a case-specific treatment plan.
Patients can make the payment post-consultation using common online payment methods like UPI or net banking.

Sciatica Treatment @The Physical Health Consultants, Bangalore

Sciatica pain is often associated with slip disc (intervertebral disc prolapse) in the lower lumbar spine.Sciatic nerve that is the main nerve supply to legs, is compressed due to the above and thus the sensation passes down to the legs.Pain is mostly felt in the back near nerve roots and radiates towards the legs as a pricking or numbing sensation.Disc compression may be mild or complete, severity of pain depends on that. There are many other factors that lead to similar pain sensation.
On proper physical assessment with manual tests, your physio may be able to trace the cause of pain.If needed,MRI or X ray may be done for accurate diagnosis.Radiating sciatic pain that comes due to muscular causes such as hamstring tightness or piriformis muscle spasm may need different approach towards treatment than other reasons such as slip, disc or joint inflammation.Treatment duration varies depending on the cause of pain.Generally disc prolapse cases take longest time to be treated.Follow up with back strengthening exercises help in avoiding recurrence.Every case is different from the other so generalized group exercise and self taught exercise may end up in more complications.Always consult your physio before joining any exercise program even if you suffer the mildest back pain.
